As a courtesy to each patient, after you schedule your initial evaluation, we will verify your benefits with your insurance company. We don’t believe in surprises, especially ones that can be costly for you. Therefore, after verifying your insurance, we’re able to give you a per visit cost breakdown for your care. That way you can make the most informed decision regarding your care!

FAQ:
What are a deductible, coinsurance, and copayment?
A deductible is the amount you pay for covered services before your insurance starts to pay. For example, with a $2,000 deductible, you pay the first $2,000 of covered services.
A coinsurance is a percentage of the costs of a covered service you pay. For example, if you have a coinsurance of 20%, you pay 20% of the covered service and your insurance pays 80%.
A copayment is a fixed amount you pay for a covered service. For example, $20.00 per visit.
What is authorization? What do I need to do?
Authorization is a requirement by your health insurance to pre-approve services so that they can determine if they are medically necessary and payable. It is not, however, a guarantee by your health plan to pay for the services. At LSTC, we strive to make your access to care as simple and easy as possible. Our billing staff will monitor and maintain your authorization throughout your care. There may be times assistance from you will be needed, and a billing representative will reach out to you if that’s the case.
What if I have met my deductible or out-of-pocket maximum?
If you have met your deductible or out-of-pocket maximum, you usually receive notification about this before we do. Please contact the billing department as soon as you receive this information so that we can update our collections for your future appointments.
How do I request a billing statement?
If you need a statement, please contact the front desk or email the billing department at billingrep.lstc@gmail.com. Include your name, date of birth, and the date range you need included on the statement. Processing times for a statement can range from 1 to 2 weeks, as they are handled in the order they are received.
I believe I am owed a refund.
Any refund on your account will be issued once all claims have processed and settled per your insurance. Please contact the billing department at 703-450-4300 or at billingrep.lstc@gmail.com in regards to your account for the most up-to-date status.
