Arthritis

Arthritis is actually not a single disease, but rather an informal way of referring to joint pain or inflammation. Arthritis can occur in all joints, but is most common in the knee, shoulder, and hip. Two of the most prevalent types of arthritis are; osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. While arthritis is often associated with increased age, people of all ages, sexes, and lifestyles can develop arthritis.

Balance and Falls

Balance is what gives us the ability to walk on two legs and perform our daily routines. Our sense of balance changes over the course of our entire lives. Balance and the vestibular system develop as we grow from a baby all the way through adulthood, and then declines as we get older.

Therapeutic Exercise

Going to physical therapy 2-3 times a week is awesome, but there needs to be consistency at home to see lasting change. The strength that you’re gaining will only be maintained by keeping up with regular strengthening.
